Our Approach
Expanse Medical is an engineering-first venture studio with leadership that filed 200 patents and led products acquired or distributed by Boston Scientific, Medtronic, Philips, Teleflex, J&J and Genesis Medtech. Our platforms span vascular, neurovascular, lymphatic, and urological care targeting conditions where current solutions fall short or don’t exist at all.
We take devices from first-principles engineering through regulatory approval and commercial transfer, partnering with leading medtech organizations worldwide.
With operations in the San Francisco Bay Area and Providence, Rhode Island, we combine deep R&D capability with proven commercialization infrastructure.

In addition to traditional incubation, we run Build-to-Buy programs for strategics. We co-define requirements, then create and deliver a device and documentation package built for acquisition. We manage the process from design through FDA clearance/approval and transfer the program ready for scaling and for commercialization.
